Post 107: Super Grumpy

Refreshing an old piece. I always liked this one, and since I sold the last copy, I figured I'd fix it up a bit before I ran a new print run!
Available the next time you see me at convention : )

Post 106: Weekend of Coffee

Sorry for the lack of photos, these are the only pieces I managed to snap shots of from this weekend. It was definitely speed drawing as the small things dressed as superheroes were eager for their art!

Post 101: Sketch Plop

Agent Carter - I finally got caught up... oh my gosh amazing, such a well done mini-series. More like this, please?

Frozen - Still drawing them. NO SHAME.

Into the Woods - Saw the movie, eh, ok, thought it was well done, but mainly it just inspired older Jack and Red art.

Hawks - Didn't start out as them...but c'mon, the feathers.

Batgirl - Perusing the new series - love the art, very fun. Always more Canary, always.

Wicked Superbowl

In case you missed the explaination.

This weekend I'm involved in a story ballet, "Beyond Oz", combining movie "The Wizard of Oz" and the musical "Wicked". It also happens to fall on the weekend of the Superbowl, Seahawks vs. Patriots.  As I was laying in bed, with the songs running on infinite loop in my head, this is the idea that worked it's way through. The more I thought about it, the more little details seemed to align. Elphaba is saving the "animals", Glinda is being patriotic - I amuse myself.

The only thing that would have made it a perfect melding, is if the Detroit Lions could have been in instead of the Seahawks. But, I'm pretty sure ALL Lions fans feel that way. Every year.
